With 3 major universities in Warwickshire, as well as several colleges, offering counselling diplomas
and certificates, we are aware that there are many professionals in the county who are working or
studying in this field. With the emphasis today on continuing professional development, it is essential
for us all to have access to relevant and topical seminars and workshops, reflecting current thinking,
research and new legislature. Therapy Challenges aims to invite internationally regarded speakers
and practitioners to share their knowledge of their chosen fields, presenting their work in a series
of one day and half day seminars. We aim to challenge and develop practicing counsellors and
psychotherapists, along with other mental health professionals, so broadening our self-knowledge,
self-development and our own search for excellence and best clinical practice.
In the heart of Warwickshire, we host our seminars in three different venues…
Firstly the Stratford Manor Hotel
(see photo below) provides us with smart and professional surroundings where you will
experience an exciting learning environment, refreshments throughout the day, a 2 course buffet
lunch, learning materials and delegate pack. And, because all our seminars are held on a Friday, you
have the option to stay for one or two nights at the hotel, bringing family members for the weekend,
or just to explore the Stratford area. Seminars commence at 10am and finish at 4.30pm.
Our second venue is the Lifeways Complementary Health Centre
minutes from Stratford on Avon town centre (see photo below). We find this a relaxed and tranquil setting for both full and half day
workshops, and, because the number of delegates is limited to 25, there is a more intimate feel to
these workshops. Morning-only workshops provide 3 hours CPD, while the full days provide 5 hours,
both include a delicious sandwich lunch, refreshments and learning materials. Half day seminars
commence at 9.30am and finish at 1pm (followed by lunch). Full day seminars commence at 10am
and finish at 4.30pm.
Our third venue is the Newbold on Stour Village Hall (see photo below), just 7 miles south of Stratford town centre.
This is a spacious and newly refurbished hall offering flexible meeting room space and parking. Morning-only workshops
provide 3 hours CPD, while the full days provide 5 hours. Both include a delicious sandwich lunch, refreshments and
learning materials. Half-day seminars commence at 9.30am and finish at 1pm (followed by lunch). Full-day seminars
commence at 10am and finish at 4.30pm.
